Biography
Aju Varghese is an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He debuted in 2010 with the Malayalam film Malarvadi Arts Club, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, which was a major success. Since then, he has been active in the Malayalam film industry. Collaborating again with Vineeth Sreenivasan, his roles in Thattathin Marayathu (2012) and Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015) achieved significant box office success, earning acclaim from both audiences and critics as blockbusters. His filmography also includes Kili Poyi, Zachariyayude Garbhinikal, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, Punyalan Agarbattis, Vellimoonga, Ormayundo Ee Mukham, Kunjiramayanam, Su Su Sudhi Vatmeekam, Two Countries, and Adi Kapyare Koottamani. Additionally, he has appeared in several advertisements.
Born to Varghese and Celiene in Thiruvalla, a town in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, Aju has a younger sister named Anju. He married Augustina on 24 February 2014, and the couple has two children, a daughter and a son, born on 28 October 2014.
Aju completed his schooling at Rajagiri High School in Kalamasserry, Ernakulam, and later at Bhavans Adarsha Vidhyalaya, Ernakulam. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Hindustan Group in Chennai in 2006. While working in Human Resources at HSBC in Chennai, he was invited by his college friend Vineeth Sreenivasan to play a lead role in his directorial debut, Malarvadi Arts Club, followed by Thattathin Marayathu. During this period, he also acted in Sevenes (2011) directed by veteran filmmaker Joshiy, and in Mayamohini.
