Biography
A.R Phoenix is also known as Adam Richards is the visionary creator behind the UK-based Never Give Up Productions and the Malaysian production company Phoenix Skyhorse. He is the son of former SBS Ronald Adams, a descendant of the English Samurai, William Adams. Beginning his training in unarmed combat at a young age, Adam also earned the honor of competing for the Wushu British Team. Known as Phoenix 8, The Man Behind the Mask, and the Original Red Power Ranger, Adam's legacy is multifaceted.
During his teenage years, Adam trained under renowned Wushu masters such as Ranjit Dhillion and Grandmaster Chee Soo. At 17, a dream led him to Hong Kong, where he honed his Kung Fu skills. A twist of fate introduced him to Jackie Chan during a visit to a film studio, leading to opportunities to work on some of Chan's films.
Upon returning to the UK, Adam pursued a career in stunts, showcasing his skills as the Red Power Ranger in TV shows, films, and live performances. His talents opened doors to blockbuster films such as Saving Private Ryan, Gulliver's Travels, and Band of Brothers, robin hood with Russell crow. He is also a co-writer with many other titles alongside A very talented young writer Keshavi Jaharia. We are hoping to direct these films together
Since 1997, Adam has been on the stunt register, performing across film and stage. With a profound passion for martial arts, Adam created his martial art style, "Kuen Tao," and holds eight Black Belts in disciplines including Kickboxing, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Wushu among others. His expertise in weaponry and fight choreography has earned him global recognition for his skill, passion, and dedication.
In 2025, Adam Richards was a VIP guest at the Chandler Film Festival, further cementing his status as an influential figure in the industry.
