Biography

Melissa Riso was born on June 27, 1986, in Monterey, California, and grew up in the nearby town of Salinas. After high school, she relocated to San Diego and soon graduated from Beauty College.

While building her career as a professional hairstylist, she styled the hair of a local news reporter who encouraged her to try modeling. Gradually, she gained popularity within the Import Tuner scene and appeared on the covers of twelve magazines.

As she attended local acting schools, Melissa began landing infomercial roles and enjoyed working as a background extra on TV shows like "Las Vegas" and "Greek." She also secured lead roles in music videos for artists such as Xzibit, T.I., and more recently Tyga, Daft Punk, Pharrell, and Krewella.

In late 2010, Melissa moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting and modeling career. She modeled for clothing brands and skincare products and started booking roles in short films including "Timid Pimps," "Jungle Dead Two," "TeleviSean," "Spare Change," and others.

Her biggest achievement in 2014 came when she landed her first lead role in a national Pepsi commercial. That year, she also booked commercials for Fila and LA Fitness, adding to her success.

Melissa benefits from Hollywood training, having studied with Ivana Chubbuck, Lesley Khan, Stuart K. Robertson, and the Groundlings for improv.

She continues to take acting classes and trains in Krav Maga in preparation for her dream of landing a feature action role.
