Biography
Jason Nower is a versatile filmmaker whose career has been built on a wide array of notable projects and clients. Since embarking on his filmmaking journey in 2010, he has collaborated with White House officials, NASA astronauts, and celebrities including Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Chazz Palminteri, Vera Wang, Beyoncé, and others.
With the production house he and two creative partners co-founded, called 3 Nuts Studios, Jason has made a significant impact as a cinematographer and producer on several well-known stand-up comedy specials: "Dan Soder: On The Road," "Jared Fried: 37 & Single," "Des Bishop: Of All People," "Daphnique Springs: Single Female," and "Chris Distefano: Speshy Weshy," just to name a few. His skills as a cinematographer, editor, and associate producer were further showcased in the critically acclaimed film production "A Bronx Tale: The Original One Man Show" with Chazz Palminteri, executive produced by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Jon Kilik, and Brian Lieberman.
Jason's achievements have not gone unnoticed. In 2020, he secured second place at the New York Press Association for his lifestyle video work and was awarded Best Music Program in the American Community Media Alliance competition for his work on "East End Underground." His contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic were recognized with a proclamation from East Hampton Village for manufacturing 3D-printed N95 masks, and commendation from the Town of East Hampton for engineering and operating the remote meeting system still in use today.
As a photographer, Jason's work has been showcased at the prestigious Mark Borghi Gallery in Bridgehampton, N.Y., where he shared a dual show with artist Gregory Johnston. His photographs have also been featured in multiple local and regional publications.
Beyond his film and television endeavors, Jason is dedicated to community service and advocacy. In 2022, he testified before the New York State Assembly to advocate for amendments to the Open Meetings Law, supporting remote access to government participation for all individuals, regardless of geographic or physical challenges.
Jason enjoys an active lifestyle, engaging in activities such as hiking, rock climbing, flying trapeze, and paddle-boarding.
