Biography
At 15, Facundo's best friend introduced him to his first drama class with Alicia Muzzio. In 1989, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease, a cancer affecting lymph nodes, which required ten months of treatment and five additional years of medical monitoring. One day, while walking near a subway station with his saxophone, a street performer invited Facundo to play with him, inspiring him to play solo for ten months. Afterward, Facundo auditioned and secured several roles, eventually joining the acting staff at Argentina's Channel 9, where he appeared in 'Alta Comedia,' 'Marco el Candidato,' and 'Hermana Mayor, La.' In mid-1995, he landed a minor role in the soap opera 'Perla Negra,' starring Andrea del Boca. The following year, he portrayed a romantic, jealous, and violent character in the sitcom 'Sueltos' (1996) and was cast in the teen TV series 'Montaña rusa, otra vuelta' (1996). That same year, Facundo played Rudy in 'Zíngara' (1995), a character who, ironically, also suffered from Hodgkin's Disease. In 1997, Telefe contracted him for the third and fourth seasons of 'Chiquititas.' He also worked alongside Arturo Puig and Gastón Pauls in the remake of 'Rafa, El.' Facundo's breakthrough came in 1999 when he secured the lead role of Ivo in 'Wild Angel' (1998), starring Natalia Oreiro, earning widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally. In 2000, he appeared in the sitcom 'Buenos vecinos' (1999) as Diego, a romantic character who falls in love with Jimena (played by Malena Solda), depicting an impossible love. His recent projects include the series 'Yago, pasión morena' (2001), starring Gianella Neyra, and the film 'La fuga' (2001), which became a blockbuster in Argentine theaters that year.
