Biography
Rachel Perry is a Canadian television personality based in the United States. Formerly a MuchMusic VJ, she hosts All Access on VH1, narrates Web Junk 20, and hosts The Stash on Playboy TV.
Born in Brockville, Ontario, Perry has provided numerous narrations and voiceovers for VH1 programs, specials, and Viacom channels, including the Viacom-owned LGBTQ+ station Logo. She co-hosted VH1's reality series Strip Search, which ran for one season, and also co-hosted Pepsi Smash. Perry began her tenure at VH1 in January 2001, hosting VH1 News, All Access, and the morning video show. In June 2001, she hosted Not Much On Day, a MuchMusic marathon featuring music videos of pop stars wearing minimal or no clothing. Perry appeared nude during the marathon, strategically covered by various objects. Until March 2006, she hosted VH1's Top 20 Countdown, occasionally co-hosting with fellow Canadians Aamer Haleem and Bradford How. She also narrated the behind-the-scenes feature for Brokeback Mountain included on the film's DVD.
Additionally, Perry hosts VH1 Radio Network's Weekly Rewind, a program broadcast on major stations nationwide and distributed by Westwood One. She also recorded "content wrap" segments for The CW's "c-what's happening" commercials, though these appear to have been discontinued after several weeks.
Perry guest-starred in the CSI: NY episode "Heart of Glass," which aired on February 14, 2007.
She was once neighbors with Ed Begley, Jr. and Bill Nye, and appeared on an episode of Begley’s show Living With Ed, which airs on Planet Green.
As host and co-writer of Playboy Channel's The Stash, Perry presents a "Soup"-style show commenting on clips and photos from adult entertainment.
Perry appeared on Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs during the 100th Job special as a potential replacement for Mike Rowe. The segment showed her and other female guests attempting to clean septic tanks, with Perry displaying the most intense reaction.
She was ranked #49 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list in 2005.
In 2015, she joined the cast of Megachurch Murder.
