Biography
Aurora De Lucia is a multi-hyphenate artist - a professional editor, producer, actress, and writer. She has made over 1,000 episodes of television across different 33 television networks, and is an Emmys-voting member of the Television Academy as both a producer and an editor. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, Actors' Equity Association, the Producers Guild of America, the Motion Picture Editors Guild (IATSE Local 700), and an associate member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE). She has worked for Jon Stewart, Ava DuVernay, LeBron James, and many others. While Aurora has made several types of shows, her bread and butter is politics and comedy, working on, among others, "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore," "The Daily Show," "Bear Witness, Take Action 2" (a TV documentary about intersectional racism), and "The Carlos Watson Show" where she produced and edited deep dives on Pete Buttigieg, Anita Hill, Cory Booker, Gretchen Whitmer, and several others. Aurora is originally from Culver City, California, then going to high school at a specialized school modeled after an MFA theater program in the midwest. She then went to Berklee College of Music earning a Bachelor of Music in Music Production and Engineering and Electronic Production and Design. She began working in television while a freshman at Berklee (she joined her first union as a teenager) and has never stopped since. During the pandemic, she earned her first Master's degree, also from Berklee, in Creative Media and Technology. In her spare time, Aurora has run over 100 half marathons, 7 marathons, and 3 ultramarathons. Additionally, she is a Certified Rescue Scuba Diver.
