Biography

An actor and notable television writer educated at the University of Wisconsin with an engineering background, which he leveraged in crafting his "Space Patrol" scripts. Initially starting as a film and television actor, his writing skills emerged prominently while playing 'Agent X' on "Space Patrol." The producer invited Jolley to write scripts, leading to the retirement of his 'Agent X' character through "permanent suspended animation" in the series. As the chief writer, Jolley developed many "Space Patrol" concepts, including weaponry and materials like 'endurium' and 'raydurium,' always ensuring the storylines adhered to factual accuracy. After "Space Patrol" concluded, he co-founded Bartlett-Jolley Productions in 1956 with former actor Dick Bartlett, who directed Jolley's scripts; together, they produced eight films for Universal-International by 1958.
