Biography
Simrin C. Player was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1998 to Richard and Dominique Player. She began dance training at age three. In 2002, her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Simrin has studied various dance styles, including Contemporary, Break Dancing, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, and Tap. Her performances demand skilled character portrayal. She acts and sings with strong dedication and confidence and is known for inspiring her peers.
Simrin's professional journey started in 2007 when, at nine years old, she was discovered during a B-boy/B-girl battle. This opportunity led to an audition with Hi-Hat, a leading choreographer in the entertainment industry. She privately auditioned for Hi-Hat for VH1's Hip Hop Honors Award Show honoring Missy Elliott, impressing him and making her television debut. Since then, she has worked with well-known entertainers such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Shakira, Willow Smith, Timbaland, Katie Holmes, and Adam Sandler. Simrin performed nightly on Willow Smith and Justin Bieber's UK tour, playing sold-out arenas across the country. Her extensive resume includes appearances in Disney's "Step Up 3D," NBC's "The Voice," The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Nickelodeon's Season 2 of "The Fresh Beat Band" (as Jr. Kiki), and the feature film "Jack and Jill," starring Adam Sandler.
