Biography

Marty Bowen is a renowned American film and television producer and co-founder of Temple Hill Entertainment. With a career spanning over twenty years, he has become a leading figure in the industry, playing a key role in shaping some of the most successful and culturally impactful franchises in contemporary cinema.

Bowen began his Hollywood journey as a prominent literary agent and partner at United Talent Agency (UTA), representing elite talents such as Charlie Kaufman. In 2006, he made a bold decision to leave agency life and join forces with veteran producer Wyck Godfrey to establish Temple Hill Entertainment. Under his guidance, the company achieved remarkable commercial success, producing blockbuster franchises like The Twilight Saga, which grossed $3.2 billion, The Maze Runner trilogy, and acclaimed dramas including The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and The Hate U Give (2018).

In addition to major blockbusters and young adult adaptations, Bowen has developed a diverse range of projects. His recent successes encompass global horror hits Smile (2022) and its sequel Smile 2 (2024), as well as Damien Chazelle’s Oscar-winning Neil Armstrong biopic, First Man (2018). At the same time, Bowen has grown Temple Hill Entertainment into a significant force in television, executive producing popular series across various networks and streaming platforms, such as ABC’s Revenge, FX’s Dave, and HBO’s The Outsider.
