Biography

He is a Czech ethnologist, cultural anthropologist, author and journalist.

He graduated from the College of Agriculture and later ethnography at the University. Then postgraduate study in Peru at the University of San Marcos and the Catholic University in Lima. Lifetime work as a cultural anthropologist and freelance because of their stays among Amazonian Indians has become not only a recognized expert on the life and culture of the indigenous ethnic groups of the Amazon, but also their friend. In 1989 Mnislav Zelený adopted tribe Jawalapiti and his spiritual father shaman Gunitze gave him the name Atapana, which means "leaf of palms". It seems that full circle. From 1996 to 2001 he served as Ambassador in Colombia and Ecuador. Through its Foundation Great Amazon is trying to alleviate the destruction of Indian culture. He is currently working on a monograph Andean Muisk whose culture considers equivalent to the more familiar trio of Aztecs, Mayas and Tahuantinsuyo.
