Biography

Szymon Karl is a writer, producer, actor, and President of Szymon Say'z Productions. Born in Poland, his varied life experiences have shaped a broad perspective both personally and professionally.

In 1984, at just four years old, Szymon and his family made a daring escape from Communist Poland, seeking freedom in the United States—the only place they believed would offer it.

Music became Szymon's refuge and source of peace. He began piano lessons immediately, performed his first concert at six, and by eight joined the Atlanta Boy's Choir. These early passions were later reinforced by Steve Martin’s transition from actor to producer in "Simple Twist of Fate."

Service was a core value in Szymon’s family. Following in his father's footsteps, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, Szymon returned to Atlanta to embark on his entrepreneurial journey.

Szymon's acting career took off in 2006 when he signed with the esteemed talent agency People Store, landing a supporting role in Motives 2. This led to his first TV series role on October Road with Touchstone Television.

Transitioning from producing business meetings to music videos while acting, Szymon realized it was time to launch his own production company. Szymon Say'z Productions emerged amid numerous projects, including Terrell Carter's music video "Thick Girls." He later contributed to Tyler Perry's film "Meet the Browns" and David O. Russell's "Nailed." Then tragedy struck: Szymon lost his best friend in a fatal car crash. His friend had been pursuing dreams and heading to an audition—the very dreams they had planned to chase together in Los Angeles. Motivated to fulfill their shared aspirations, Szymon moved to Los Angeles, securing early work as Supervising Producer for TV One’s Cathy Hughes Show and BET’s Sunday Best. He also produced and acted in "A Warm Wind," a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film about the Gulf War.

Today, Szymon continues to pursue his passion for integrating cause-driven work into entertainment, working on various projects. His latest endeavors include The Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club Film Festival and a musical feature film titled The Perfect Love Song, starring Terrell Carter. This film explores the contrast between the idealized vision of a perfect life and the joyful moments we often overlook.
