Synopsis
After four seasons of the Drag Me As a Queen program, an original Brazilian reality show with a consecrated format of transformation, the authors create a new spin-off TV show: LA MAISON - DRAG ME AS A QUEEN. In LA MAISON DRAG ME AS A QUEEN, a luxurious mansion will house a group of five women who will be guided by Lia Clark and DaCota Monteiro, a team of five drag queens from the Salvador scene, in addition to special guests, such as Walério Araújo, Elivan Nascimento and Nina Codorna, on their journey of collaborative transformation through drag art. Throughout six episodes, we will delve into the process of self-experimentation, step by step, overcoming our own barriers for a grand performance debut as drag queens. The spin-off is based on the same structure that emerged in the original format, of promoting a journey of self-knowledge for women from the stages of building a drag queen character, whose dynamics will be guided by professional drag queens. In the original format, all of this happens in an episodic way, with one woman at a time. In this new format, the proposal is a version that deepens the idea of "montação" (the process of getting ready in drag), investing in a creative coexistence, an immersion in the process of building each woman's drag. The process will no longer be individual, nor episodic. We will have a deeper format, which unfolds throughout the season. Living together in a house, a group of five ordinary women will have access to the repertoire of techniques, resources and technologies of drag art, to build their individual characters. The reality show will be the recording of this process. The public follows this immersion, through the leadership of two nationally known drag queens, Lia Clark and DaCota Monteiro. The arrival of the participants at the house, the first conversation with the drag queens about themselves and their expectations, the choice of the drag name, the baptism, the construction of costumes, makeup, characterization, rehearsal of the performance and the presentation of the performance itself, in addition to other dynamics of coexistence and self-knowledge, all of this will compose the episodes of the new format, always bringing a progression in the challenges to be experienced by women. The proposal is that this group of women share their personal life experiences, explore some point of structural transformation and allow themselves to experience challenging dynamics that will test their limits, as an invitation to overcome. The challenges will be intensified with each episode, deepening the immersion in the creative force that mobilizes drag art. Knowing and sustaining desire are goals in building a bigger version of themselves. To underline this, the program will feature the presence of guests in some of these dynamics, inspiring, bringing tips and news, for women and for the entire public.
