                  Dinosaur War Aizenborg Trivia

                  • This TV series was made after the stop-motion and puppet TV show Kyoryu Tankentai Born Free (1976). Its sequel, Dinosaur Squadron Koseidon (1978), featured a human-sized hero and performed fairly well.
                  • Ururu's first group of dinosaur soldiers in the TV series consists entirely of monsters from earlier and later Tsuburaya Productions TV series, especially Ultraman: A Special Effects Fantasy Series (1966) and Faiyâman (1973).
                  • Ururu, the villainous Tyrannosaurus rex in the first 19 episodes of this TV series, used a suit recycled from the film The Last Dinosaur (1977). Many dinosaur suits from the TV series later appeared in its sequel, Dinosaur Squadron Koseidon (1978).
                  • The TV series features dinosaurs returning to Earth with greater intelligence than before.
                  • The TV series was popular in Japan and became a big hit in Italy and Saudi Arabia. Italy's Man-Ga channel aired it again in 2012, and the Yamato Italian DVD box set achieved huge sales. In 2013, Toei Video released this TV series and the other two entries in the Tsuburaya Dinosaur Trilogy on DVD.
                  • The TV series combines live action and animation.
                  • The Stegosaurus suit used for Gallon, Stella, Sugora and Sutego in this TV series was later used again as Stegosaurus (Koseidon) in Dinosaur Squadron Koseidon (1978), the third and final TV series in the Tsuburaya Dinosaur Trilogy.
                  • In 2020, Matt Frank was announced as the creator of a Dinosaur Great War Izenborg comic continuing Ai and Zen's adventures. The comic was scheduled for release in 2022.
                  • A localized film combining the TV series' first four episodes into a single story was released direct-to-home video under the retitled name "Attack of the Super Monsters" (1982).
                  • The TV series is set in a universe where the various Ultra Series are popular television shows.
                  • The TV series later received a special anniversary documentary featuring a special mini-episode segment that portrays the characters in the high-quality style of Reiwa TV series. It is available on ULTRAMAN OFFICIAL, the TSUBURAYA PRODUCTIONS YouTube channel.
