Hayden Jones joined Industrial Light & Magic London in 2019 as a VFX supervisor for The Mandalorian season one. Collaborating with the team responsible for bringing "the Child" to life, he earned both a Visual Effects Society award and a Primetime Emmy for his contributions to the show.
Early in his VFX career, Hayden worked as a 3D artist, compositor, and later as a VFX supervisor on numerous films, including Lost in Space, Armageddon, Mission Impossible 2, Tomb Raider, Hellboy 2, Stardust, and Les Miserables. He also contributed to many episodic series for broadcasters such as BBC, HBO, SKY, National Geographic, and ABC, earning two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Visual Effects during this period.
In 2013, Hayden co-founded DNEG TV as one of its three founding members. As Executive VFX Supervisor, he managed all creative aspects of the department, from pitch and concept design to supervision and final shot production. He worked on a variety of projects for Netflix, Amazon, Marvel, ABC, NBC, STARZ, BBC, and SKY, and as a VFX supervisor, he received both a nomination and a BAFTA win for Special, Visual and Graphic Effects.
Beyond his professional work, Hayden has participated in BAFTA's UK scholarship program, mentoring young artists aiming to advance their careers in visual effects. He is also an avid artist and photographer, often found sketching in his notebook whenever possible.
Hayden is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
