Craig Haffner is a Tony Award-nominated Broadway producer and an Emmy Award-winning television writer and producer. His career spans the commercial media and entertainment industries, encompassing roles both in front of and behind the scenes.
Craig began his Hollywood writing career in sitcoms for CBS and ABC, later moving into marketing and advertising roles at both networks. From 1983 to 1987, he held executive and producing positions at ABC Television Network and the ABC station group, including KABC TV.
With the rise of cable television, Craig founded Greystone Films & Television (1986–2006), producing hundreds of hours of factual, scripted, and live event programming, as well as feature films.
In 2007, he became a founding partner of the New Comic(book) Company, securing funding and acquiring all rights to Warren Publications' comic book and graphic novel titles, including Creepy Magazine and Eerie Magazine. As a co-editor of new material, Craig received the Eisner Award, the highest honor in the comic industry. The Creepy and Eerie brands, considered the largest independent collection of comic stories and art on the market, were viewed as the next "Marvel Comics." Partnerships were formed with Dark Horse Comics, ICM Talent Agency, and Mosaic Management. Current projects include feature films, live-action and animated television series, internet and mobile content, along with a vast collection of print materials.
In addition to comic book ventures, ongoing development of feature film and television projects is managed through Grand Canal Film Works.
Craig’s Broadway endeavors began in 2008 through several newly established partnerships, working on Allan Knee’s The Jazz Age and John Berendt’s Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. He made his Broadway producing debut during the 2009–2010 season as part of the team behind Ragtime, which garnered seven Tony nominations and nine Drama Desk nominations.
He is married to his second wife, Carrie Ginsburg, a native Californian from Sacramento, and they have one daughter, Stella. From his first marriage to Robin, he has three children: Stephanie, Amy, and Jeremy.

- Board member of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce
- Board member of the LAPD Historical Society
- Member of the LAPD Traffic Advisory Council
- Council member of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)
Following the events of September 11, 2001, Craig was one of three Hollywood executives who organized meetings with the White House to encourage industry participation in the war effort. He continues to serve on the NEH council.
