Mark is a dedicated and proud Mormon. As a defensive guard for his high school football team, the Edison Chargers, he helped secure the C.I.F. championship in 1970. Each summer during high school, he worked as a counselor at a YMCA summer camp. One summer, he gained valuable horseback riding experience working on a dude ranch. From 1972 to 1979, Mark served in the U.S. Army, though despite his request, he never deployed to Vietnam. In 1977, he graduated from the prestigious NCO Academy at Camp Jackson, South Korea. A patriot at heart, Mark has visited all 50 U.S. states, traveling through 49 (only Anchorage, Alaska, remains unvisited) and explored all the southern provinces of Canada. His Army training included EOD and strategic microwave radio communications. Afterward, he worked with AT&T until its 1984 breakup, installing PBXs and KTSs. Among his communications roles, he served as lead technician and supervisor for Link-Tel. In 1991, Mark spent a year as a civilian communications technician on Roi-Namur Island in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, working for General Dynamics. There, he handled a wide range of tasks, from fiber optics and NASA launch relays to TACAN support, motion alarms, cable TV, and pumping seawater from manholes.
Mark also runs a small video and recording business called MarKee Studio Productions. His hobbies include scuba diving, mountain biking, MIDI music production, video gaming, and mentoring aspiring actors.
As middle age approached, Mark decided to pursue a lifelong dream of acting. After taking numerous acting and drama classes and hustling for a decade, he is beginning to find success, mainly as a principal in commercials, but also in television and film roles. He has studied ballroom dancing for two years and enjoys dancing. Mark maintains a rigorous fitness routine, performing 255 push-ups six days a week, resting on Sundays.
Though he has always desired a wife and a large family of six to eight children, Mark has never married and currently lives alone—except for his five cats. Occasionally, he hosts travelers for short stays.
