Jorge Algora is licensed by RESAD (Madrid Superior School of Dramatic Art). He created his first audiovisual work in 1984 and has since worked in management, production, and scriptwriting for films, TV shows, documentaries, and commercials. Born and initially active in Madrid, he relocated to Galicia in 1986. In recent years, he has directed and written the scripts for feature films such as "Inevitable," "Despite Everything, I Love You," "The Mudboy," and "Lying to Life," as well as documentaries including "Santiago Way, the Origin," "Unitarian: History of a Galician Teacher," "Anna's Eyes," "Destination Party," "Land of Emigrants," and the documentary series "Visual Galicia." He has received the Manuel Oliveira Award, the Argentine National Institute of Cinema Award (INCAA) for his contribution to national cinema, and a lifetime achievement award at the Braga Film Festival. His film "Inevitable" won the Audience Award for Best Film at the 2013 Santiago Film Festival. "The Mudboy" earned nine Mestre Mateo Awards (Galician Academy Awards) in 2008, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, as well as Best Film at the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile. "Lying to Life" won the 2005 Mestre Mateo for Best Television Film, and his documentary series "Visual Galicia" received the 2004 Mestre Mateo for Best Television Program.
