Laura Napoli, a New York City theater and improv actress, initially gained recognition in Los Angeles within the video game industry by performing motion capture and voice-over work for companies such as Capcom, Sony, and Square Enix.
Raised in Englewood, NJ, just outside New York City, Laura began her performance journey in dance. As a teenager, she joined Bergen Dance Theater as a company member, featuring in soloist roles in ballets like A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Nutcracker, and Paquita. Her dance skills later led her into musical theatre, where she performed and choreographed productions including West Side Story, The Fantasticks, Annie, and Hello Dolly!
She earned a BA cum laude in English from Barnard College, Columbia University, while captaining the Barnard/Columbia Varsity Fencing Team and competing on their inaugural women's sabre squad, reaching the NCAA Division One finals. During college, she enhanced her stage combat skills with training in unarmed combat, rapier & dagger, broadsword, and quarterstaff.
After graduating, Laura joined the stage combat faculty at The Public Theater, the Stella Adler Studio, and the MFA acting programs at NYU and Columbia. She was a resident artist at both The Lady Cavalier Theatre Company in NYC and The Growing Stage in NJ, and performed with the political satire group Gross National Product Off-Broadway and across the Northeast.
Known for her physical performances, she spent six years portraying Sarah Connor and Kimberley Duncan in Universal's live-action stunt show Terminator 2: 3D.
More recently, Laura expanded her talents to writing and producing, achieving viral success with the sharp political satire "Legitimate Rape" Pharmaceutical Ad (TW), which led to a collaboration with the Official Comedy channel.
Additional recent work includes a two-year national commercial run for Joe's Crab Shack, an award-winning Excedrin internet commercial, the Zombie Family web series on Funny or Die, the theatrical hit Stoneface reopening at the Pasadena Playhouse, membership in the Grammy-nominated rock/sketch group The Incredible Dollface, and company membership at Sacred Fools Theater Company.
