Nyle Cavazos Garcia attended Boise State University on a full scholarship, where he founded Small Town Pictures. After relocating to New York, he worked in production on independent films for Lionsgate, Good Machine, and The Shooting Gallery. Nyle wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film 'Humidity' and directed the Sundance Film Festival favorite 'The Support Group'. He later moved to Los Angeles to direct his feature film debut, 'Clean', which won numerous top awards at international film festivals, premiered on Starz! Encore, and was released globally on DVD, PPV, and VOD. Nyle continued creating short films such as 'The Dark', 'Bleeding', 'Mary's Journal', 'Houston & 6th', and 'The Man with the Red Right Hand', all of which screened successfully at multiple festivals and were collectively released as the horror/thriller anthology 'Dark Passenger: Volume 1'. As a screenwriter, Nyle has demonstrated versatility, optioning over a dozen feature film screenplays across various genres. His horror scripts—'Slasher Flick', 'Tag', 'Blood Pressure', 'The Absence of Light', and 'Olivia's Fingers'—have won top screenwriting awards, as have his sports comedy 'The Fighting Irish', LGBTQ+ rom-com 'Straight Up, Now Tell Me...', and coming-of-age time travel fantasy 'The Zenith'. In 2025, Nyle's multi-award-winning short horror film 'Last Ride' was distributed worldwide by Adler & Associates Entertainment. He also completed production on his feature film 'CATnip', a Christmas horror comedy about killer cats starring Chevy Chase, Bruce Dern, and Joey Lauren Adams.
