Benjamin "Benjie" Anderson hails from Savannah, Georgia. He graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School and went on to attend Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Voice/Music. During his time there, he served as President of the Psychology Club, held the position of President of the Concert Choir twice, pledged Phi Mu Alpha Music Sinfonia, represented the student council, was an active advocate, and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
As a SAG-AFTRA actor, he has accumulated over 35 years of experience working regionally in film, television, and theater. He has also been the executive producer, director, and writer at BJG Media Productions in Atlanta, where he co-starred in the company's drama series. Previous BJG productions include "Misty" and "A-Town East." "Love Always Charleston," Atlanta's and Charleston, SC's original drama series produced by BJG Media Promotions, premiered on Memorial Day, May 28, 2007–2008, in Charleston, SC, and aired nationally on Dish Network’s CoLoursTV in 2010.
BJG Media Productions' shows were broadcast on Comcast Channel 25 in Dekalb County, GA. The spin-off series "Cool Carolina Nights" aired in Metro Richmond, VA; Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg, NC; Charlotte, NC; and Atlanta (Dekalb County), GA.
