Simon Nader Mirza is a British actor of mixed Middle Eastern and Mediterranean descent, active in theatre, film, television, and voice-over work. He is also an experienced UK television presenter with credits on ITV and a British theatre director. Simon was educated in Harrow and earned a degree in English and Drama from Queen Mary College, University of London. He trained formally in acting at The Academy Drama School on a scholarship from The Stage, graduating in 2004.
His theatre credits include Number 1 tours, the role of George in Of Mice and Men, Billy in Billy Blister's Circus at Watford Palace Theatre, Maggie's End at The Shaw Theatre, Gavin Robertson's critically acclaimed The Other Side, and Qudz at The National Theatre Studio.
Simon’s television appearances include the SAG-nominated mini-series Houdini, the Emmy-nominated World Without End, The Last Kingdom, The Borgias, Strike Back, and Urban Legends. His film work features British features such as Age of Kill, Ironclad, Hamlet, Kenau, and The Dead Inside (titled Infected in the USA). As a voice artist, he has contributed to numerous Radio 4 plays and commercials.
A highly trained martial artist, Simon holds a black belt in kickboxing and is also trained in Taekwondo and Aikido. He possesses advanced fighting certificates in Rapier and Dagger, Single Rapier, Knife, and Unarmed Combat from the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat.
As a theatre director, Simon’s credits include a sell-out run of David Haig's My Boy Jack and the London production of Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood's comedy The Revengers.
