Scott started his career at Island Records in London, eventually becoming Managing Director of Blue Mountain Films Ltd, a subsidiary that produced live concerts, music video clips for Island artists, and licensed labels. In 1979, he established MGMM Ltd, a pioneering production company focused on music videos. MGMM, with producer Scott Millaney and directors Brian Grant, David Mallet, and Russell Malcahy, has created over 1,500 music videos, 60 hours of television, numerous commercials, and eight feature films, including the acclaimed cult classic 'Sid and Nancy'. During the 1980s, MGMM was the leading music video production company, operating offices in London, New York, and Los Angeles. Working with major superstars like Elton John, Queen, David Bowie, and Tina Turner, MGMM earned the reputation as the 'godfathers of music video.'
Currently, a fresh team of producers, directors, and writers has assembled to produce original entertainment through live events, music films, and documentaries. Scott is dedicated to upholding the legacy established by MGMM Productions during the heyday of music videos.
