Christopher Alan Broadstone, born in Oklahoma City and raised in Dallas, Texas, is a writer, musician, and filmmaker who spent 21 years pursuing his creative vision in Los Angeles before returning to Dallas in late 2016. As a writer and director, Broadstone has created three award-winning short films: "Scream For Me" (Best Short Film: NYC Horror Film Festival, Best Underground Short: B-Independent.com), "My Skin!" (Best Horror Short: Shriekfest Film Festival [L.A.], Creative Vision Award: International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival [Phoenix, AZ], Best Film/Director: Cinema Edge Awards), and "Human No More" (Best Horror Short: The Indie Gathering Film Festival [OH]). He has also completed two feature-length screenplays: "Color Of Flame," an erotic ghost story, and "R," co-written with actor/writer John Franklin (Isaac from "Children of the Corn"), which won Best Horror Feature Screenplay at Shriekfest Film Festival [L.A.]. Broadstone’s films have been featured on multiple horror compilation DVDs, screened at 30 international film festivals, and earned 15 "Best Of" awards. All three short films are available as the anthology DVD "3 Dead Girls!" from Texas POEtrope. In 2020, he released the feature film "Human No More," which integrates all three short films into the larger narrative "Human No More: A Macabre Thriller," available on Blu-ray and streaming via Amazon and Texas POEtrope. Broadstone is currently preparing for production of the sequel (prequel) titled "HNM: Look At The Sky," continuing the dark story of Detective Nemo and the serial killer Mr. Blight.
In addition, Christopher Alan Broadstone authored the horror novel "Puzzleman," which has been re-released and serialized with updates, now available on Kindle and in Trade Paperback. His new novella "A Catch In Time" is out now, and his short story "Note-To-Self" is featured in the anthology "Journals Of Horror: Found Fiction" (edited by Terry M. West). The collection "Suicide The Hard Way: And Other Tales From The Innerzone" compiles Broadstone’s previously unreleased short stories, screenplays, and lyrics/poetry. He is currently finishing his second horror novel, "Heather's Treehouse."
In the late 1980s and 1990s, Broadstone toured and recorded independent records and CDs with his bands "About 9 Times" and "The Judas Engine.
