Denim Richards has been performing for over twenty years, boasting extensive credits in television, film, and musical theater.
He currently stars as 'Colby' alongside Kevin Costner in the popular Paramount Network series "Yellowstone." Additionally, Denim appears as 'Jack Brown' in the Netflix feature film "The Chickasaw Rancher," which is inspired by the life of notable Chickasaw cattleman Montford T. Johnson.
In 2006, Denim won first place in both acting and singing at the Los Angeles NAACP competition and later placed fourth nationally. Those close to him were not surprised by these achievements, as Denim discovered his passion for the arts at age six while performing as a guest soloist at the renowned Crystal Cathedral. Since then, he has pursued his craft relentlessly. Through his performances, Denim aims to guide audiences through a spectrum of emotions that leave them feeling uplifted and inspired. He is particularly drawn to roles demanding deep character development and strong vocal skills.
Driven by a desire to create and lead, Denim founded his own production company, Lazer Focus Productions, LLC (LFP), in 2010. LFP is a multi-ethnic company dedicated to telling original, high-quality stories while providing opportunities for entertainment professionals. Denim believes exceptional talent exists everywhere, and LFP serves as a platform to showcase it.
Denim’s core value is love, especially towards children. He believes everyone deserves love and emphasizes that "in this fast-paced world, we must remember that the youth are our future." Motivated by this belief, he launched Youth Empowering Success (YES), a nonprofit organization that gives young people a positive voice through the arts, including singing, acting, dancing, public speaking, and filmmaking. Alongside YES, Denim mentors third, fourth, and fifth graders at MLK Elementary.
He is also actively involved with various charities such as United Steps, which combats homelessness; RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network); Rowell's Foster Children's Positive Plan; and the Innocent Justice Foundation. Denim aspires to continue serving as a positive role model and a beacon of hope.
