Joseph Incaprera is a Producer nominated for Emmy, Golden Globe, and Producers Guild Awards. He recently produced Season 2 of The Lowdown for FX/Hulu in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As President of Shorehouse Productions, he is developing the TV series "Vendor." In 2024, he produced the FOX TV series "Rescue: HI-Surf." In 2022, he served as Co-Executive Producer on "Tulsa King" for 101 Studios and Paramount+. Before that, he was Executive Producer for Seasons 10 and 11 of AMC's acclaimed "The Walking Dead."
His other producing credits include "Tell Me Your Secrets" for Amazon, "The First" for Hulu starring Sean Penn and created by Beau Willimon, Season 1 of "13 Reasons Why" for Netflix, "Quarry" for Cinemax, "The Messengers" for CBS/CW, and "American Horror Story Season 3: Coven" for 20th Century Fox TV and FX Network. "American Horror Story: Coven" received a Golden Globe nomination for Outstanding Mini-Series in 2013, with Joseph sharing in the Golden Globe, Emmy, and Producers Guild Award nominations for his work on the series.
Prior to joining "American Horror Story," Joseph produced HBO's Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated series "Treme" for four seasons. He also worked as Unit Production Manager for two seasons of HBO's "The Wire." Before moving into producing and production management, Joseph spent over a decade as an Assistant Director on numerous feature films and television series, including three seasons on "The Wire," as well as "Live Free or Die Hard," "Hannibal," "Minority Report," "Shot in the Heart," "The West Wing," "The District," "The Replacements," "Gods and Generals," "K Street," "Blair Witch 2," "Pecker," and four seasons of "Homicide: Life on the Street."
He was also employed by HBO as a consultant for the miniseries "Show Me a Hero" and the Emmy-winning series "Generation Kill." As part of the Assistant Director team for "Something the Lord Made," Joseph shared the 2004 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement. The HBO film also won the Emmy for Best Made-for-TV Movie that year.
Joseph lives in Hawaii with his family and has been married for over 25 years to Catharine Incaprera, who works as a Costume Supervisor in the film industry. They are proud parents of their daughter, Chloe Incaprera, who attends the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1992 and has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 1997. He is also a member of the Writers Guild of America, Producers Guild of America, and the Television Academy.
