Craig Stuart Garfinkle is an Irish composer and music producer recognized with an Irish Academy Award, Hollywood Music In Media Award, and nominations for the Ivor Novello and Emmy Awards. His diverse portfolio covers animation, feature films, trailers, documentaries, television, multimedia, stage, and advertising.
Recently, Craig has broadened his acclaimed body of work. Together with his wife and co-composer Eimear Noone, he crafted the original score for the Irish feature film Baíte (2025), which won The Irish Academy Award for Original Score. The film also secured Best Irish Film at the Galway Film Festival, celebrated for its lush cinematic soundscape and emotional resonance. The pair also scored the animated feature The Magic Reindeer: Saving Santa's Sleigh (2024), also known as Niko: Beyond the Northern Lights, earning nominations for both The Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) and The Animation Ireland Award for Best Original Score.
In video games, Craig and Eimear co-composed the soundtrack for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, released in October 2025. Their work combines orchestral majesty with atmospheric tension for one of the year's most anticipated games.
As a director, Craig helmed the feature documentary The Unsinkable Entrepreneur (2025), which premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival on October 19th, winning the jury award for Outstanding International Documentary.
These recent projects complement a distinguished career featuring works such as The Canterville Ghost starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, and the Ivor Novello- and Hollywood Music in Media-nominated Two By Two: Overboard!
His animation credits include multiple Disney series, notably as a songwriter for The Little Mermaid television series and as a composer for Raw Toonage, which garnered an Emmy nomination for Original Composition.
Craig’s film work spans genres, including the psychological drama Maxine (Channel 5, UK), the family drama It’s Dark Here (featuring Illeana Douglas, Bubba Lewis, and William Mapother), the black comedy Get Out If You Can (directed by TJ Martin), and the supernatural thriller Blood Relative (starring Cristin Milioti).
His music has been featured in over 140 film trailers for major Hollywood productions such as J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek, the Harry Potter franchise, James Bond, Sin City, Red, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Over the Hedge, Spider-Man III, HALO II, and many more. His compositions have also appeared in numerous film and television shows including The Office, Fringe, Lost, The Sopranos, The X Factor, and America’s Got Talent.
In gaming, Craig’s credits include World of WarCraft and its expansion Warlords of Draenor, which won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Video Game Score. His experience in game music extends back to early Dungeons and Dragons titles for TSR Inc.
Craig splits his time between Malibu, California, and Kilconnell, Ireland, where he continues composing for film, animation, and interactive media, infusing every project with his distinctive cinematic style and emotional insight.
