Sean Canfield is an independent filmmaker who has spent the past five years writing, producing, and directing for various production companies. In 2008, he wrote, produced, and directed the TV pilot "Outside In," featuring emerging recording artist Rae O'Rourke, filmed on location at Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, CA.
He has contributed to numerous films in multiple roles, including writing and starring in the shockumentary "As Good As The Gun: Winchester Revealed," which was shot on Halloween night in 2005 at the Winchester Mystery House in his hometown of San Jose, CA.
Sean played a key role in founding Seidl Corporation, an independent production company based in Los Angeles since January 2006. His debut feature screenplay, "Violent Desires," is currently in pre-production. Since 2009, he has been exclusively collaborating with Infested Films, assisting on their first two shorts: the body horror piece "The Morning After" and the supernatural thriller "Theodore," starring Lloyd Kaufman.
He produced, wrote, and directed a segment for the feature anthology "Dead On Appraisal," Infested Films' first feature, which was released on DVD and VOD in April 2014 and had a limited theatrical release in September 2014.
As of March 2015, Sean is completing his first novel, producing the film "A Wedding" for director Jay Sosnicki, and creating a documentary titled "Rising South" about Huntsville, Alabama.
