James Hare is an actor and voice actor from the UK. He is an alumnus of Voice Masters, where he trained in animation and video game voiceover under the guidance of Emmy-winning casting directors Paulette Lifton and Mimi Maynard. He has also worked with coaches and casting directors worldwide, including Sara Jane Sherman, Pamela Goldman, and Nina Zendejas.
Known for his professional and friendly work ethic, James brings a versatile and creative approach to acting and voice work. His natural voice is described as engaging, trustworthy, and articulate, capable of a mid to high range across various accents and characterizations. His journey began with training from industry experts Tom Clarke-Hill (Voices in Animation), Rachael Naylor (The Voice Academy), and acting coaches John Gould and Amy Lyndon.
James made his first lead appearance as Ben in the animated short film "Stupid Question" and had his first acting role as Council Officer Harris in "I Was A Soldier," now streaming globally on Tubi, Prime, and YouTube. Since childhood, he has aspired to voice characters in animation and video games and enjoys working across multiple genres for film, TV, podcasts, and web series. His dream project is to work on an animated series or film for Disney, Prime, or Netflix.
His recent voice roles include Judge Johnstone/Scientist #1 in the 2025 audio drama "Breaking Rules" on Spotify; The Guardian in the 2023 video game Twilight Oracle, available on Steam; the lead role of Bernard in the 2024 animated feature film Fat Chance; and Ralph in the 2025 Five Nights at Freddy's animated film on YouTube. He also voices Bernard in the award-nominated animated web series Transportation Station, now in its second season, where he will continue to reprise his role.
