Originally from the East Coast, Barry Finkel built a reputation for portraying a wide array of distinctive roles spanning various ages, genders, species, and appearances. With an extensive career in theater—including musicals and plays on Broadway, off-Broadway, regional, and international stages, as well as TV and commercials—he eventually moved to the warmer climate of Los Angeles. A lovable paradox, Barry has a deep affection for animals, which may explain his frequent portrayal of them. He strives to stay health-conscious and fit, though he's never met a donut he could resist.
Barry is passionate about nurturing the next generation of performing artists. He works as the resident Director, Choreographer, and Instructor at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Hollywood, his alma mater where he earned a BFA in Performing Arts. In addition to teaching, he holds an important administrative position, managing faculty, students, and academic programs. Trained as a theater dancer, Barry is skilled in tap, jazz, and ballet, and is also a character actor and baritone singer with expertise in various accents, dialects, and character voices. His favorite pastime is watching horror movies.
