Heather Winters is a distinguished American film producer, director, writer, and two-time Sundance-winning executive producer. She executive produced Morgan Spurlock's Academy Award®-nominated and Sundance-winning documentary Super Size Me, as well as Anthony Haney-Jardine's Sundance-winning dramatic feature Anywhere, U.S.A. Her filmography includes Michelle Memran's The Rest I Make Up (recognized as one of the Best Movies of 2018 by The New Yorker), AJ Schnack's Convention (IFC/Sundance Selects), Class Act (Morgan Spurlock Presents), Jim Killeen's Google Me, and her directorial debut TWO: The Story of Roman & Nyro, which chronicles legendary songwriter and music producer Desmond Child's journey to parenthood.
In television, Heather has held roles such as assistant director on MTV's Real World and contributed as a writer, production staff member, and assistant to the producers on over 260 half-hour episodes of the children's animated series ThunderCats, SilverHawks, and The Comic Strip for the renowned animation company Rankin/Bass. As Executive Producer and Director of Production at Sony Corporation, she managed all productions and client relations for Sony's Studio One. Additionally, Heather has served as Creative Director, Producer, Director, and Writer, creating over 50 commercials and branded entertainment projects for major companies including SONY, VIACOM, HBO, TIME WARNER, PARAMOUNT, BLOCKBUSTER, CADILLAC, and GE.
Heather founded the entertainment and media production company White Dock. She collaborates as producing partner with Grammy Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated songwriter-producer Desmond Child, a 2008 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, on numerous film and television projects. She is a film professor at Sarah Lawrence College and conducts master classes, intensives, lectures, and workshops on producing and documentary film nationwide. Her professional roles also include consultant, producer's representative, guild and film festival juror, and academic press peer reviewer. A classically trained pianist and musician, Heather integrates her diverse artistic and musical talents into her work.

Her professional affiliations and honors include membership in the Producers Guild of America (PGA), serving on the Board of Directors for The Players, inclusion in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) Margaret Herrick Script Library Selection in 2013, membership in the International Documentary Association (IDA), induction into the Miami Beach Senior High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame in 2017, receipt of the Sarah Lawrence College Alumnae/i Citation for Achievement Award in 2009, and the City of Miami Beach proclamation of November 17th as Heather Winters Day.
