Jules Theodore, born October 7, 1980, of West Indian descent (Trinidad and Tobago), was raised in Silver Spring, MD, a middle-class suburb near Washington D.C. He began his career as a child actor and model in various small projects around the D.C. and Baltimore areas. Due to limited opportunities and quality projects, Jules shifted his focus to athletics, excelling in martial arts, gymnastics, and track and field. Throughout high school, he ranked among the nation’s top athletes in the Junior Olympics and aimed for the real Olympics as he entered college at Hampton University, Virginia, in the fall of 1999.
After several minor modeling jobs, Jules reassessed his career path, recognizing challenges in his current location for the entertainment industry. He refocused on his first passion—acting and entertainment—similar to Channing Tatum’s journey, including working as a male exotic dancer. During his junior year at Hampton University, he changed his major to theater and left before his senior year to move to Los Angeles, where he was accepted into the conservatory-style theater program at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Within a year, Jules began working in Hollywood, appearing on TV shows such as The Shield, Californication, and Perception. Over time, he expanded his career beyond acting, becoming a small business owner who revitalized the exotic dancing industry for performers nationwide, a venture that continues to grow. Currently, Jules is broadening his range by taking on comedic roles, notably showcasing his comedic talent in ABC Family’s Mystery Girls, a reunion series starring Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. After a brief hiatus, Jules Theodore is eager to further develop his skills and pursue roles in the action genre.
