Bryn Vale, one of this generation's most promising new talents, is best known for her role in "Family," starring alongside Taylor Schilling, Brian Tyree Henry, Kate McKinnon, Matt Walsh, Allison Tolman, and Natasha Lyonne. Her performance earned critical acclaim, hailed as one of the film’s standout surprises within a "rip-roaring script," delivering a "fantastic performance" as Maddie. Critics praised her breakout role for its "emotional punch," capturing "poignant moments" as a "hilarious tortured soul of a misfit teen." Following the comedic success of "Family," Bryn showcased her dramatic range as Scout, a character facing intense emotional struggles, in Max Amini’s film "James the Second." Most recently, she appeared as Katie in "Home," a film written and directed by Franka Potente ("The Bourne Identity"), starring Kathy Bates and Jake McLaughlin.
Raised primarily in Atlanta, Georgia, Bryn later moved to the West Coast. At nine years old, she earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, winning numerous gold and silver medals at regional and national competitions. Her athletic skills led to her debut role in "Barely Lethal," playing a stealth child assassin trainee opposite Samuel L. Jackson. Since then, she has steadily built her career with diverse roles across film, television, and web series, including "Red Band Society." Portraying Louise Suggs, the legendary Ladies Professional Golf Association golfer, in "The Founders," Bryn brought to life the challenges these pioneering female athletes faced in 1940s America as they established the LPGA, the longest-running women’s sports organization in the world.
Beyond her passion for sports, Bryn is dedicated to learning and has enjoyed a successful undergraduate career at the University of California, Berkeley. She cherishes time spent with her three rescue dogs and cat. Additionally, she is a committed global animal rights advocate and has actively supported the care and rehabilitation of orphaned baby elephants rescued in southern Kenya.
