Eric joined Disney Consumer Products in 2014. Before that, he worked in FOX Broadcasting Company's Alternative Entertainment department, contributing to shows such as American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, The X Factor, the 2011 Primetime Emmys, the 2nd Annual American Country Awards, and various other specials and reality programs aired on FOX. In 2006, Eric was associate producer and head writer for the children's series Nanna's Cottage. He also served as associate producer on USA Network's popular series The Dead Zone and ABC Family's Wildfire. From 1999 to 2005, Stillwell was Vice President of Operations at Piller2, the production company of Shawn and Michael Piller. Earlier in his career, he worked as Script Coordinator for the feature film Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1992), and worked as a production associate on Star Trek: Voyager (1995-1996). During his time with the Star Trek franchise, Eric co-wrote the story for the acclaimed TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" (1989), which received three Emmy nominations, and co-wrote the Voyager episode "Prime Factors" (1994), nominated for a Sci-Fi Universe Award. He also shares a story credit for "The 34th Rule," a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel co-written with Armin Shimerman ("Quark") and published in 1999; it remains one of the best-selling DS9 novels from Pocket Books. Eric began his Hollywood career in Oregon, working for Warner Bros. Television on the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie Promise, starring James Garner and James Woods. This film became the most honored single television program in history, winning 5 Emmys, 2 Golden Globes, a Christopher Award, a Peabody Award, and the Humanitas Prize.
