Mark Gantt is a multifaceted American artist known as an actor, director, producer, and writer. He began his career working in the art department, props, and production on feature films, TV shows, and commercials.
His on-screen appearances include roles in well-known TV series and films such as "Criminal Minds," "American Horror Story: Hotel," "Ocean's Eleven," "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Dexter," "Major Crimes," and E!'s "The Arrangement."
Mark rose to prominence playing Neal Bannen in the Streamy Award-winning web series "The Bannen Way." The series garnered over 13 million streams on Sony's Crackle network, becoming its fastest-growing show. It also transitioned into a feature film, available via VOD, DVD, iTunes, Amazon, Cinemax, and Sony's AXN Network.
"The Bannen Way" ranked as the sixth most-watched web series in February 2010, earning seven Streamy Award nominations that year. It won Best Drama, Best Director, and Best Actor (for Mark). The series also received the Groundbreaker Award at the 2010 LA Webfest.
Mark began his directing career with "Murder In Mexico: The Bruce Beresford-Redman Story," a true-story drama that premiered on Lifetime in September 2015, marking a key milestone in his directing path.
He has worked alongside acclaimed directors like Steven Soderbergh, David O. Russell, Sam Raimi, and Robert Rodriguez, gaining valuable industry experience.

In 2020, Mark directed two feature films, "A Deadly Price For Her Pretty Face" and "Secret Life of a Celebrity Surrogate," both premiering exclusively on Lifetime. He also created commercials and promos for major brands including Fox, Capital One, ESPN, Nissan, and GMC.
In June 2022, Mark took on his most ambitious project to date, the horror thriller "Soul Mates." Written by Joseph Russo and Chris LaMont, it follows Allison (Annie Ilonzeh) and Jason (Charlie Weber), who become trapped in a sinister dating service designed by a mysterious Matchmaker. The film is set for exclusive theatrical release on October 20, 2023, through Faith Media Distribution.
Beyond acting and directing, Mark co-wrote "Her Deadly Boyfriend" with Evan Unruh, which premiered on Lifetime on June 1, 2020. He also earned his first solo writing credit with the thriller "Deadly Infidelity," which premiered on Lifetime on March 25, 2020, further showcasing his versatility.
As a producer, Mark has worked on projects like "Psychophonia," a thriller directed by his wife Brianne Davis, in which he also starred alongside Vedette Lim. Together, they produced two horror/sci-fi films, "The Night Visitor" and "The Night Visitor 2: Heather's Story."
Mark co-wrote the Audible Original series "A Devil in the Valley" with Paul Holes and retired FBI Special Agent Jim Clemente. The series explores investigations that linked cold-case murders to serial killers in Contra Costa County during 1977 and 1978.
In August 2020, Mark and Brianne Davis launched the podcast "Secret Life," which delves into topics like love, sex, money, food, addiction, and taboos. The show features a variety of guests, including celebrities and anonymous callers sharing personal secrets.
Mark's talents have earned him several awards, including Best Director at the Philadelphia First Glance Film Festival and Best of the Fest at the Cinema Series Festival for his short film "Donor." His branded series "Suite 7" received nominations at the 2011 BANFF Rockies and the 2012 Webby Awards, with Shannen Doherty winning a Webby for Best Performance.
He trained as an actor and director at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under Milton Katselas and Allen Barton for over ten years, later teaching acting there and leading web series development workshops with Creator Up. In 2011, he hosted the inaugural NATPE Digital Luminary Awards in Miami.
