Joely Collins is a globally acclaimed, award-winning producer, director, and actress. She has collaborated with leading studios, broadcasters, and networks, creating and delivering content for international audiences.
As a producer, her film Never Broken (2022) won Best Short at both the Lady Filmmakers Festival in LA and the Benelux International Film Festival. The film continues to be showcased at festivals, with distribution forthcoming.
Her second feature, Becoming Redwood (2012), received "Best Canadian Film" at the Edmonton International Film Festival and "Most Popular Canadian Film" at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Joely’s digital series Coded (2015) has garnered over 20 international awards and was recognized by BuzzFeed as one of the "Top Ten Series to Watch." She also executive produced and co-starred in the romantic comedy Almost Heaven (2006), a Canadian-Scottish co-production starring Donal Logue and Tom Conti. This project marked her first collaboration with her musician father, Phil Collins, who composed the film’s theme song.
Joely’s acting career began with dramatic training at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. By 22, she was named Canada’s "Best Leading Actress," earning a Gemini Award (Canada’s Emmy) for her role as Rachael Langston in the acclaimed TV series Madison (1993). She portrayed Legz, a futuristic tattoo artist, in the Robin Williams film The Final Cut (2004) and starred as Gillian Guess in The Love Crimes of Gillian Guess (2004), directed by Bruce McDonald, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and played to sold-out audiences at Berlinale.
Born in Vancouver and raised on Canada’s West Coast and in England, Joely founded Million Faces Productions to create high-quality films, drama series, and unscripted content featuring strong female leads and filmmakers. She works on multi-region projects across Canada, the US, and Europe.
Joely is also a passionate advocate for human rights and the ethical treatment of animals.
