Megan Tremethick is a Cornish actress, filmmaker, writer, and producer. She is best known for her role as Queen Ginnarra in The Reign of Queen Ginnarra (2025), directed by Lawrie Brewster, as well as for portraying the sorceress Nemain in Hex Studios' 80s-inspired fantasy The Slave and the Sorcerer (2024). She also starred as Nicole opposite Hannah New in The Vance Institute (2023), Angelina Hale alongside Candyman (1992)'s Tony Todd in Howard J. Ford's The Lockdown Hauntings (2021), Sandy in the paranormal horror Ghost Crew (2022), and Charlotte Gibbon alongside Jane Merrow in Amicus Productions' In the Grip of Terror (2025).
After beginning her career in theatre, Megan further developed her passion for filmmaking through the BFI Film Academy, where she worked on the short film Chalk (2016). She made her directorial debut with the Giallo-inspired horror short Slot (2022) before going on to direct a number of independent horror projects, including the H. P. Lovecraft-inspired films Revenge of Innsmouth (2023), starring Laurence R. Harvey, and The Haunter of the Dark, starring Hellraiser (1987)'s Nicholas Vince and Stephen Kerr.
Megan made her feature directorial debut with the psychological horror film Spoiling You (2026), which she co-wrote, directed, and stars in as Miss Mutter. Inspired by Japanese horror cinema and the world of ASMR, the film explores the blurred line between online performance and identity.
Alongside her acting career, Megan continues to develop original horror projects as a writer and director, with several feature films in development. As an actress, she is particularly drawn to psychologically complex characters, period-inspired storytelling, and visually distinctive genre cinema, while her filmmaking combines psychological horror with both anachronistic and more contemporary visual storytelling.
Her work as both an actress and filmmaker has been featured in publications including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Bloody Disgusting, and Dread Central.
