Scandinavia’s top-selling artist and comedian, who in 2015 surpassed the milestone of 700,000 tickets sold at the box office. He is also an actor, award-winning impersonator, singer-songwriter, producer, director, writer, and versatile performer. A self-made entrepreneur, he founded his own company, Deepwater Entertainment, after no one initially believed in his entertainment concepts, leading him to fund, write, produce, direct, and perform all his work independently in the beginning.
He is Norway’s best-selling DVD artist, with all five of his DVDs achieving gold and platinum status. His debut stage show remains the highest-selling show on DVD in Norway. He created, starred in, and produced three TV shows on TV Norway, each becoming the highest-rated comedy and TV show during their runs. In spring 2012, his fourth TV series, "Valens Rikskringkasting," aired on NRK, Norway’s national broadcaster, becoming their highest-rated comedy show. Recently, he completed a show featuring stars such as Sharon Stone, William Shatner, Esai Morales, Steven Bauer, and Jean Beauvoir, and is currently adapting all his TV shows into an international series.
He financed, recorded, and released his own CD album after Norwegian industry insiders doubted its potential. His debut single and video, "Still Here," reached number one immediately, with the album earning gold certification within three days and later achieving platinum. Signed by one of the world’s largest publishing companies, Air Chrysalis, his album was released across three continents. Voted among the top five artists by readers of Norway’s second-largest newspaper, his single "Still Here" was named one of the top 10 songs of the decade on Norway’s biggest commercial radio station, P4. The album also produced two additional major radio hits.
His companies have generated over 40 million USD to date. He retains full ownership of all material he has created or participated in, including stage, TV, music, CDs, and DVDs, having independently financed all projects initially.
Kristian was personally selected to perform in the Hollywood film "Living The Dream" alongside Sean Young (known for Ace Ventura, Blade Runner, No Way Out), Danny Trejo (Kill Bill, Heat), and Jeff Conaway (Grease), among others.
He was also chosen as a headline act for "Forever Michael," the one-year memorial and tribute show to Michael Jackson held at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles in 2010. He was the only relatively unknown performer on stage before Michael’s family, friends, world-class artists, actors, and diplomats honoring the King of Pop.
In September 2010, he led the campaign for the Heineken-owned beverage brand "OTTO" in Finland, performing as his distinctively "feminine" character "Kjartan." The commercial became one of the biggest successes and one of the most viewed clips on YouTube. That same year, he launched his own cognac brand, Valen Cognac.
