Ricardo Burgos is a Brazilian actor and writer from Salvador, Brazil, holding dual Brazilian-Italian citizenship. Renowned for his versatility and commanding presence, he works in film, television, and theater across Brazil and Europe.
He appeared as the complex villain Cobra César in TVI’s prime-time telenovela Terra Forte, acting alongside Portuguese star Rita Pereira. He also featured in Globo's Mania de Você and is set to make his streaming debut on Max (HBO) with the upcoming series Dona Beja, premiering in January 2026.
Burgos created and hosts the podcast Perspectiva, which has showcased notable guests including Carol Castro, Bukassa Kabengele, Emiliano D'Ávila, Fábio Mendes, Lorena Comparatto, Mauro Lima, and Nabiyah Be.
Early in his career, he gained recognition performing in over 100 shows during the revival of the iconic 1970s group Dzi Croquettes, earning praise for his portrayal of Brazilian icon Maria Bethânia. He played the antagonist in the feature film After the Rain, which received coverage from Variety and IndieWire and was selected for major festivals such as Cannes, with a screening at the American Film Institute in New York City.
In 2016, Burgos moved to New York City to study at Playhouse West under Andrea Dantas and Jim Parrack. While there, he participated in various stage productions, wrote, produced, and starred in his first short film Prospect, and earned a Brazilian International Press Awards nomination for Best Actor for his role in Inside the Wild Heart. He also co-starred as Wyoming police officer Joel in Christopher Ernst and Bill Darmon’s adaptation of Fritz Leiber's The Hill and the Hole.
