Miryam is a director and producer based in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She trained as an actor at Toi Whakaari NZ Drama School, earning a Bachelor of Performing Arts. Early in her career, she appeared in indie films like Follow the Random and There's No 'I' In Threesome, as well as popular local comedy series Auckward Love and Only in Aotearoa. On stage, she has performed internationally at Shakespeare's Globe in London, and locally at Basement, Bats, and Te Pou Theatre.
As a director and producer, Miryam's work has been featured at film festivals including the New Zealand International Film Festival, Flickerfest, Show Me Shorts, Galway Film Fleadh, Vail Film Festival, Melbourne Women in Film Festival, and others. She has produced music videos for beloved Kiwi artists such as Diggy Dupé, Israel Starr, and Dick Move. Additionally, she has produced and directed commercial content for brands like Contiki, Fonterra, and Auckland Theatre Company.
Career highlights include second unit directing on Amazon's feature Don't Make Me Go, starring John Cho, and creating the critically acclaimed NZ On Air-funded documentary Disorder. In 2024, Miryam was selected for the esteemed DEGANZ Emerging Women Filmmakers Incubator to develop her debut feature film. She is represented by Frank Management and co-founded the production company 2113.
