Since 1992, he has professionally participated in more than 100 stage productions and was part of the permanent ensemble of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro from 2008 to 2017.
In cinema, he starred in Fernando Eimbcke's Duck Season (Temporada de Patos), winning the Ariel Award for Best Actor. He has also received nominations for his roles in Ernesto Contreras' Blue Eyelids (Párpados Azules) and Nora's Will (Cinco Días Sin Nora). Throughout his career, he has appeared in numerous films and television series.
Some of his recent theater works include Testosterona and Three Sisters (3 Hermanas) directed by Diego del Río, The Author (El Autor) by Benjamín Cann, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit (Conejo Blanco, Conejo Rojo), Peek Chuun, and Let Thebes Burn (Que Arda Tebas), which earned him a Metro Awards nomination for Best Actor.
His latest film projects include Detrás de la Montaña, Sebastián del Amo’s The Mongolian Conspiracy (Complot Mongol), and Asfixia by Kenya Márquez, which was recognized at the Morelia Film Festival (FICM) 2018 and garnered him a Pecime 2020 Best Actor nomination.
Currently, he appears in the Amazon Prime series Diablo Guardián, Fox’s Run Coyote Run, and Crime Diaries: The Colosio Case (Historia de un Crimen: Colosio). He also plays Paniagua in Netflix’s Belascoarán, Camacho in Disney’s El Mantequilla, stars in The Black Minutes (Los Minutos Negros) by Mario Muñoz, and features in ¡Que Viva México!, the latest film by Luis Estrada, also for Netflix.
He presently leads as Don Luis in I Have to Die Every Night (Tengo que morir todas las noches), a new Amazon Prime series by Ernesto Contreras. In 2025, he will debut in 12 Lunas, Victoria Franco’s directorial debut, starring alongside Ana de la Reguera.
