Claudia Coli is an actress from Milan, active in theater, film, and television. She graduated from the Scuola del Teatro Stabile di Genova and furthered her training in France and at Italy’s Centro Teatrale Santa Cristina under the direction of Luca Ronconi.
She made her debut at Teatro di Genova in the play "I reverendi," directed by J. Stuhr. In 2001, Claudia appeared in her first film, "Le parole di mio padre," directed by F. Comencini. This marked the beginning of a flourishing theater career, including roles in productions directed by Valerio Binasco such as Cechov’s "The Seagull" and "Dear Professor." In 2002, she performed in Pasolini’s "Orgia," directed by V. Malosti.
In 2003, Claudia was nominated for the Ubu Award as Best New Actress under 30. She starred alongside P. Maccarinelli, Gianfranco Jannuzzo, and M. Castri in Cechov’s "Three Sisters." Collaborating with musician A. Annecchino, she co-created "Miss Else... and some little waltzes," inspired by A. Schnitzler.
Claudia returned to the big screen with "The Fugitive," directed by A. Manni, and appeared on Rai Uno in "Lovers and Secrets" by G. Lepre and "General Medicine" by R. De Maria. Her film career continued with a role in "Gabrielle," directed by French filmmaker P. Chéreau and starring I. Huppert, earning her a César Award nomination for Best Young Performer.
She later worked with R. De Maria, F. Falaschi, and M. Spada in "Il mio domani," and appeared in "Calibro 9" by Tony d’Angelo, directed by Maria Sole Tognazzi and Marco Tullio Giordana. On television, she featured in "1992" by G. Gagliardi for Sky and "Non Uccidere."
At Teatro Elfo Puccini, Claudia took part in "Frost/Nixon" by Peter Morgan and "Afghanistan Il Grande Gioco / Enduring Freedom," directed by De Capitani and Bruni. On TV, she portrayed Carla Fracci in the Rai Uno biopic "Carla" and participated in "Romanzo Radicale," a docufiction about Marco Pannella by M. Calopresti.
In 2024, Claudia starred in the film "Eravamo Bambini" by M. Martani and performed the monologue "Sarfatti" by A. Demattè, directed by A. Chiodi, presented at the Mart in Rovereto and Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan during an exhibition inauguration. In 2025, she will join the cast of the Rai Fiction series "Una finestra vista lago," directed by M. Pontecorvo.
