Hironobu Kageyama is a renowned Japanese singer with a career spanning over two decades. Born in Osaka, Japan, on February 18, 1961, he began his music journey in 1977 as a member of the band 'Lazy.' After the band disbanded in 1980, he embarked on a solo career.
Throughout his career, Kageyama has lent his voice to numerous television shows, including Transformers: The Headmasters (1987), Dragonball Z (1989), Zenki (1995), and Blitzkrieg Squadron Changeman (1985).
He is known for performing some of the most iconic anime songs, especially those related to giant robots and sentai series. Notably, he sang the Dragonball Z themes "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" and "We Gotta Power." In 1998, 'Lazy' reunited, and Kageyama resumed performing with them. Additionally, in 2000, he co-founded the band 'JAM Project' alongside other musicians such as Ichirô Mizuki, a famous television show singer.
Kageyama continues to perform with both 'Lazy' and 'JAM Project' while maintaining his solo career. The members of 'Lazy' include Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Takasaki, Munetaka Higuchi, Sabu, and Shunji Hinoue. 'JAM Project' features Ichirô Mizuki, Hironobu Kageyama, Rica Matsumoto, Eizo Sakamoto, and Masaaki Endo.
In addition to singing, Hironobu Kageyama plays the acoustic guitar. He frequently performs live and is celebrated for his energetic performances and engaging personality.
