After graduating from De La Salle High School, Hoyt Christopher was recruited to play water polo at the University of Southern California. Although he was majoring in Business, he increasingly found himself in front of the camera. During this period, he was discovered and signed by LA Models and appeared in several student films. Following graduation, Hoyt worked for MTV Networks as a casting director and segment producer before landing his first network TV role as the host of McDonald's "Shuffle Board 55" on MTV.
Over the past eight years, he has traveled the globe hosting more than six shows for E! Entertainment's "Wild On." He also hosted "Makin' Noise," a one-hour music video, nightlife, fashion, and extreme sports show on KTLA, which became the highest-rated program in its time slot. Additionally, he worked on the entertainment news magazine show "Us Weekly." Later, he moved to Las Vegas, where he hosted both "Ultimate Poker-Vegas-LA" and the one-hour Las Vegas entertainment news show "Action Vegas."
Hoyt currently co-hosts "Makin Love Happen," a relationship talk show aimed at helping women, alongside author and host Lou Paget for the WE Network. Another ongoing project is "Mode," a show focused on luxury travel, lifestyle, and mojo.
As an actor, Hoyt had a recurring role on "Days of Our Lives," starred as one of the leads in VH-1's series "Red Eye," and was cast as Kyle, a confident New York entertainment news host, in the independent film "Gratuitous Violence," set for release in late 2006. He recently guest-starred in the ABC hit series "The Nine," playing Josh, the host of the "Good Morning Los Angeles" talk show, who interviews Egan Foote (John Billingsley), an unlikely yet genuine hero.
In 2007, Hoyt is writing his first book, "Sweetness is Her Weakness," a trendy self-help guide for men seeking to improve their relationships with women.
When not working, he resides in Los Angeles, where he trains for triathlons, rock climbs, bakes desserts for his candy company, "ManMade Desserts," and writes.
