Marci T. House is an American-Canadian actress and executive producer with experience in stage, voice, film, and television. Raised on Chicago's south side, she began performing in community theater and Chicago Park District Theatre at age seven. She holds degrees from Louisiana Tech University and the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she studied acting, architecture, urban planning, policy, and design.
Marci has had recurring roles on Netflix’s DEVIL IN OHIO, The CW’s iZOMBIE, Hallmark’s CHESAPEAKE SHORES, ABC’s MOTIVE, and APTN’s TRIBAL, earning a Leo Award nomination for Best Supporting Performance for the latter. She is widely recognized as "Headmistress Bloodgood" in Nickelodeon’s MONSTER HIGH film series and has appeared in all three Netflix adaptations of the IVY + BEAN book series. Recent feature films include MAHALIA, directed by Kenny Leon, and Netflix’s LOU, directed by Anna Foerster. Marci recently completed a recurring role on the upcoming Hallmark series RIPPLE and will appear in a four-episode arc on CBS/Paramount+’s highly anticipated HAPPY FACE alongside Dennis Quaid and Annaleigh Ashford.
On stage, Marci has been nominated for NAACP Theatre and Jessie Theatre Awards. Her theater credits include CORIOLANUS and TIMON OF ATHENS (Bard on the Beach), THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III and DRACULA (Shaw Festival Theatre), THE LADIES FOURSOME (The Grand Theatre), INTIMATE APPAREL (The Arts Club), RUINED (Obsidian Theatre/Nightwood Theatre), A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (Blue Bridge Theatre Company), IN THE NEXT ROOM and THE VIBRATOR PLAY (Tarragon Theatre/MTC), and THE MIRACLE WORKER (Vancouver Playhouse).
