Born in Northridge, California, Ossie Beck began studying Pre-Med at the University of Santa Barbara but took up acting to offset the demands of his biology and chemistry classes. Initially aiming for a career in pharmacy, Ossie found early success in business as a Senior Consultant and was honored as Employee of the Year at International Dairy Queen. Despite this, he soon abandoned his soft-serve career to follow his true passion—acting.
Returning to Southern California, Ossie trained in acting with Margie Haber, Lesly Kahn, and at the Odyssey Theatre under Ron Sossi. He is also an alumnus of the renowned Improv Olympic. His training paid off when he was selected from a global search by Steven Spielberg to co-star in the 2005 film Munich, which received five Oscar nominations and featured a screenplay by Tony Kushner, starring Eric Bana, Daniel Craig, and Geoffrey Rush.
Ossie later starred in the 2008 pilot Screening Party, adapted from Dennis Hensley’s best-selling book, and appeared in guest roles on television shows such as Girls Behaving Badly (2002) alongside Chelsea Handler and All of Us (2003). He also starred in the 2007 film Anthem, a project personally chosen by Steven Spielberg to help director Jarrett Lee Conaway secure a DreamWorks contract. In 2008, Ossie entertained audiences across Spain, Greece, Italy, Turkey, and Malta—a poignant return to locations tied to the filming of Munich and the homeland of his grandparents.
Of Greek, Israeli, and Bulgarian descent, Ossie has led a rich life marked by cultural diversity, multilingualism, and the distinctive trait of being a redhead.
