Lillo is a multifaceted artist active in television, film, dubbing, comics, radio, and theater. He began his career in 1991 as a co-founder of the rock band "Latte & i Suoi Derivati." Throughout his career, he has taken on acting and writing roles in numerous TV programs such as "Le Iene," "Telenauta '69," "L'Ottavo Nano," "BlaBlaBla," "Stracult," "Parla con me," "The Show Must Go Off," "Cavalli di Battaglia," "Facciamo che io ero," among others. His acting credits also include "Il caso Scafroglia," "Aniene 2," "Lillo No Limit," "Amiche mie," "L'Ispettore Coliandro," as well as "LOL," "LOL2," and "LOL XMAS." Currently, Lillo stars in and co-created the original series "Sono Lillo," directed by Eros Puglielli and produced by Lucky Red in partnership with Amazon Prime Video, now in its second season.
Lillo’s filmography features a wide range of roles in films such as "Fascisti su Marte" by C. Guzzanti, "Nessuno mi può giudicare" by M. Bruno, "Colpi di fulmine" by N. Parenti, "Tempo Instabile con Probabili Schiarite" by M. Pontecorvo, "La Grande Bellezza" by P. Sorrentino, "Mi rifaccio vivo" by S. Rubini, "Forever Young" and "Modalità Aereo" by F. Brizzi, among many comedies. His more recent work includes "Il Mostro della Cripta" by D. Misischia, "Una famiglia mostruosa" by V. De Biasi, "Grosso guaio all'Esquilino - La leggenda del Se fu" directed by YouNuts!, and "Gli Addestratori" by Andrea Jublin. Apart from acting, Lillo co-wrote "Natale col Boss," earning the "Nino Manfredi" Silver Ribbon Award in 2015. He also co-wrote and starred in "DNA - Decisamente Non Adatti," "Gli Idoli delle Donne," and "Con chi viaggi."
In theater, Lillo has written and performed in various comedies, including "Il Mistero dell'Assassino Misterioso." In 2019, he took the lead in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical "School of Rock," for which he received the XLVI International Flaiano Award for Theatre. Since 2003, Lillo has been a fixture on RaiRadio2 with the show "610-SEIUNOZERO," co-authored alongside Greg. In 2004, he was honored with the XXXI International Award Flaiano for Radio and the Satire Award.
Lillo has lent his voice to numerous animated films, including key roles in Illumination’s "Pets" and "Pets 2," Disney’s "Ron," and most recently the protagonist Krypto Superdog in Warner Bros’ "DC League of Super-Pets." With his rock band "Lillo e i Vagabondi," he recorded the track "Logorroic Rap," and in 2021, filmed the music video with Carolina Crescentini, directed by Marco Pontecorvo, which won an award at Cinecittà during the XVIII edition of Roma Videoclip - Il Cinema incontra la Musica.
His published works include the comic series "Normalman" volumes 1 and 2, which inspired a children’s TV series. In 2022, Rizzoli released "Posaman and Friends," a book by Lillo exploring his superhero universe.
