Femke Wolting, co-founder of the Amsterdam and LA-based studio Submarine and two-time Emmy Award winner (Last Hijack, Bellingcat: Truth in a Post-Truth World), has enjoyed a remarkable year, marking the company's 20th anniversary in 2020. The prolific production company is behind Amazon Prime's breakthrough animated drama Undone, which has recently been renewed for a second season, and received the International Emmy for the acclaimed documentary Bellingcat: Truth in a Post-Truth World. Upcoming projects include Netflix's "Apollo 10 ½: A Space Age Adventure," directed by Richard Linklater and starring Jack Black, Zachary Levi, and Glen Powell, produced by Submarine, as well as The Kollective, a series about a citizen investigative journalist group inspired by Bellingcat, created by Gomorrah and ZeroZeroZero showrunner Leonardo Fasoli.
Femke has produced films, series, and transmedia projects worldwide, spanning the US, China, Abu Dhabi, Russia, and Mexico. Alongside Felix, she has extensive experience managing international co-productions and working with co-producers, broadcasters, and distributors such as VPRO, BBC, HBO, ZDF, Arte, Channel 4, Amazon, and Netflix.
