Nonna Grishayeva is a Russian actress affiliated with the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow.
Born Nonna Grishayeva on July 21 in Odesa, then part of the Soviet Union (now Ukraine), she grew up in a family of actors. At age 10, in 1981, she made her stage debut at the Odesa Theatre of Operetta, where she also studied singing and dancing. From 1990 to 1994, she trained under V. Ivanov at the Vakhtangov Theatre's Shchukin Theatrical School in Moscow, graduating as an actress in 1994.
Since 1994, Grishayeva has been a member of the Vakhtangov Theatre troupe in Moscow. Her stage partners have included notable actors such as Mikhail Ulyanov, Vasiliy Lanovoy, Yuliya Borisova, Lyudmila Maksakova, Alla Kazanskaya, Irina Kupchenko, Sergey Makovetskiy, Mariya Aronova, Marianna Vertinskaya, Elena Dobronravova, Yuriy Yakovlev, Vladimir Etush, Vyacheslav Shalevich, Nikolai Timofeyev, Aleksandr Grave, Vladimir Simonov, Aleksandr Ryshchenkov, Vladimir Koval, Viktor Zozulin, Evgeniy Karelskikh, Aleksandr Koznov, Vladimir Vdovichenkov, Andrey Zaretskiy, Mikhail Vaskov, Elena Sotnikova, Anna Dubrovskaya, Olga Tumaykina, Maksim Sukhanov, and Viktor Dobronravov, among others.
Her standout stage roles include Byanka in Shakespeare's *Othello* (1990s), Smeraldina in *King-deer* (1990s), Maria Antonovna in *Revizor* (also known as *The Inspector General*), based on Nikolay Gogol's classic play, and Lisa in *Queen of Spades*, adapted from Aleksandr Pushkin's work. In 1995, she created the leading role of Sheherazade in *Ali-Baba i sorok razboinikov* (also known as *The Magic Tale of Sheherazade*), a production directed by Vyacheslav Shalevich that enjoyed 12 consecutive seasons of success. Since the 2004 premiere of *Mademoiselle Nitouche*, Grishayeva has received critical acclaim for her performances, co-starring as Deniza alongside Viktor Dobronravov and Mariya Aronova.
In 2006, Nonna Grishayeva was honored with the title of Honorable Actress of Russia. She currently lives and works in Moscow, Russia.
