Since 2013, Lars G Lindström has been employed at Nordisk Film Production Sverige AB. He is a member of the Swedish Film Academy and serves on the European council of the selection committee for the LUX Film Prize. Lars possesses extensive experience across film, TV, and theatre. Beginning in 1984, he worked at the Stockholm Civic Theatre (Stockholms Stadsteater) for 19 years as a producer, artistic director, and business developer. Alongside his theatre work, he undertook numerous roles as FAD on Scandinavian feature film projects. During his tenure at the Civic Theatre, he introduced many new directors, playwrights, and plays, successfully drawing a younger audience to the theatre.
From 2009 to 2012, Lars served as a film commissioner for the Swedish Film Institute (SFI), supporting projects such as Black Power Mixtape, Avalon, Call Girl, Searching for Sugarman, A Royal Affair, The Hunt, Melancholia, Force Majeure, and They Called Him Morgan. After working on several smaller film projects—including short films featuring Martin Kellerman's cartoon character Rocky—he transitioned to full-time producing.
At Nordisk Film, Lars G Lindström has produced Amanda Kernell’s debut film Sami Blood, which premiered at Venice Days and won multiple awards including the Dragon Award and four Guldbagge Awards; Daniel Espinosa’s debut Babylon Disease; To Love Someone by screenwriter Kim Fupz Aakeson and director Åke Sandgren, selected for TIFF; and most recently, Becoming Astrid by Pernille Fischer Christensen, which premiered at Berlinale 2018.
